Em O dia, tons terrosos e alaranjados dominam a superfície, exaltando o reino solar e os seres que representam a luz e a consciência. Andorinhas em voo circular evocam o fluxo do pensamento e o ritmo do tempo diurno, enquanto o leão, a serpente e o cavalo — todos associados ao fogo e à força vital — acompanham uma figura humana em movimento, em referência ao mergulho ritualístico das pinturas fúnebres etruscas. Já em A noite, uma atmosfera azulada e fluida abriga símbolos lunares e aquáticos: peixes, escorpiões e caranguejos — seres ligados ao elemento água e às emoções — habitam um plano simbólico do inconsciente. Ao centro, uma vaca com chifres em forma de lua crescente indica o início de um novo ciclo noturno, guiado pela intuição e pela interioridade.

In O dia [The day] and A noite [The night] (2025), conceived especially for the exhibition Transe, Sproesser investigates complementary symbolic pairs through compositions inspired by Etruscan frescoes and cosmological systems of thought. In O dia [The day], earthy and orange tones dominate the surface, exalting the solar realm and the beings that represent light and consciousness. Swallows flying in circles evoke the flow of thought and the rhythm of the day, while the lion, serpent, and horse — all associated with fire and vital force — accompany a human figure in motion, referencing the ritualistic dive depicted in ancient Etruscan tomb paintings. In A noite [The night], a bluish and fluid atmosphere hosts lunar and aquatic symbols: fish, scorpions, and crabs — beings associated with the element of water and with emotional depth — populate a symbolic plane of the unconscious. At the center, a cow with crescent-shaped horns suggests the beginning of a new nocturnal cycle, guided by intuition and inwardness.

By placing these forces in dialogue, Sproesser constructs a pictorial cosmogony that investigates the rhythms of nature and their historical, symbolic, and sensory manifestations in human experience.
