Tratando-se de Cipis, é preciso sempre atenção aos jogos de sentido. O artista sintetiza sua própria assinatura em forma de imagem. As letras que compõem seu sobrenome surgem dispersas, compondo um autorretrato reduzido à sua dimensão gráfica. O artista transforma o nome – marca pessoal e comercial – em objeto visual e logotipo, ecoando sua relação com o design e a publicidade. Embora essa operação dialogue com práticas já vistas no campo da arte – como a serialidade produtiva da Factory de Andy Warhol ou o ideal construtivista russo de integração entre a arte e a produção industrial e aos meios de comunicação -, Cipis a reinscreve em chave irônica. Sua marca não busca a inserção produtiva, mas a paródia da lógica de produção e consumo, convertendo o próprio nome em signo, produto e comentário crítico sobre a visibilidade e a circulação da arte contemporânea.

When it comes to Cipis, one must always pay attention to the play on meanings. The artist synthesizes his own signature in the form of an image. The letters that make up his surname appear scattered, composing a self-portrait reduced to its graphic dimension. The artist transforms his name – his personal and commercial brand – into a visual object and logo, echoing his relationship with design and advertising. Although this operation dialogues with practices already seen in the field of art – such as the productive seriality of Andy Warhol's Factory or the Russian constructivist ideal of integration between art and industrial production and the mass media – Cipis rewrites it in an ironic key. His brand does not seek productive insertion, but rather a parody of the logic of production and consumption, converting his own name into a sign, product, and critical commentary on the visibility and circulation of contemporary art.
